Words used by the brand’s creative director of Bottega Veneta Tomas Maier, to describe his new resort collection for spring summer 2011 seem very appropriate: “architectural”, “graphic” and “simple lines.”This brand, like Fendi, Hermes and Louis Vuitton, are better known for their handbags and accessories but not for clothing, so it’s no easy feat to make a statement with their fashion collections. However, this particular collection, stands out. The german designer Maier, has been able to raise Bottega Veneta fashion to a new level.
Graphic touches were particularly noticeable. Prom dresses, the most beautiful pieces of the collection. T-shirts inspired by wetsuits are also highlighted.
